Delivery and Returns

Delivery Charges

General

Orders placed before 10am will be sent same day.

Orders after 10am will be posted on the next day we are open. Where possible we will try to get these later orders out on the same day but we cannot guarantee this.

We will inform you as soon as we know if there are any problems or discrepancies which will affect the time it will take to post your order. If you need your items urgently it is always worth making a note in the customer order section

If you have placed a large order with us, your order might be sent to you in 2 or more parcels.

Please note: we cannot be held responsible for postage delays either in the UK or to overseas locations.

Postal Options

The delivery charge is calculated automatically on the billing page, once your delivery address is confirmed. We only offer flat rates of shipping as we think this keeps things simple. We never make any money on shipping and always do our best to provide you with great service, quick turn around times and well packaged orders.

Shipping

Shipping within the UK is FREE when you spend over £100

Parcelforce 48 hour service is our standard shipping method for UK orders. It is a flat rate of £4.95.

UK destinations include England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands.

Please note – Next day refers to the service once it has been posted. We post Monday-Friday.

Parcelforce 48 hour service. £4.95 (FREE when you spend over £100)

  • Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and this service requires a signature upon receipt.
  • Deliveries are made the 48 business hours, after your order has been dispatched.
  • Include your mobile number in your order for a text update from Parcelfocve.
  • Deliveries to the Highlands and Northern Ireland may take up to 3 days.

Remember:

  • If you are not in to accept delivery of your parcel, Parcelforce will leave a card with further instruction.
  • We recommend you add a mobile number & email address – you will receive a text and/or email with simple instructions to re-arrange delivery at your convenience.
  • Please try to ensure you re-arrange delivery or collect it yourself as we will have to charge you to re-send your order if it is returned to us.
  • We cannot request that your parcel be left without a signature, whether that is in a shed, behind the bins or anywhere else someone isn’t available to sign. We can request that it is left with a specific neighbour or you can give your work/friends/family’s address as your shipping address if you know you will be out.

Free UK shipping – will appear as you checkout, if you qualify. 

*Occasionally it is quicker to use Royal Mail Special Delivery for non-mainland UK so we will use this option when we think it will speed your delivery up without prior notice.

European Orders

European Orders are sent with Parcelforce Global Priority or Royal Mail’s Tracked service where available and Tracked and Signed if not. This costs £14.95.

This should normally take between 5 and 10 working days from when your order was dispatched. It is an Airmail Service.

With the Tracked service there are 5 electronic tracked points & confirmation of delivery. With Tracked & Signed there is only tracking until the package leaves the UK and it will require a signature on delivery. You can get the most up to date info on which service is available in your country here.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • We cannot send any large or heavy weight items within Europe
  • Please be aware that delays can occur in customs and these delays are outside of our control.
  • Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches its destination country.
  • Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient.
  • We cannot mark any orders as ‘gifts’ or with a lower value so please don’t ask us to do so.

Important note to customers outside of the EU:

If you are returning items from outside the EU you MUST mark them very clearly as Returned Goods. If they are labelled incorrectly we will be unable to refund you any costs we may incur to release them.

Rest of World Orders

Orders are welcome from anywhere in the world!

Outside of Europe orders are sent with Parcelforce Global Priority or Royal Mail’s Tracked service where available and Tracked and Signed if not. This costs £19.95.

This should normally take between 10 and 20 working days from when your order was dispatched. It is an Airmail Service.

Orders are sent as quickly as possible once we’ve confirmed payment. This is usually within 7 days. We will inform you as soon as we know if there are any problems or discrepancies.

PLEASE NOTE: We can only process returns if they come back to us within 14 days, in the condition they were sent out in. Please include your order information or we won’t know who you are or how to proceed! 

Missing Items

We don’t often have orders which go missing but sadly it can happen.

Often this happens when the post person forgets to leave a card and the order isn’t really lost at all. The best first step is to email us at shop@designsbyseed.co.uk with your order number. We can then send you your tracking number. This normally solves the problem.

UK orders – Please wait 7 days before contacting us.

Orders outside the UK – Please wait 28 days before contacting us.

Returns

Items bought online:

We want all our customers to receive high quality products and we check everything before it is sent out.

If there is something wrong with the product you have received

or

If your delivery is not identical to your order (wrong product or if a product is missing)

or

If it just doesn’t work for you we are happy to offer a refund or exchange on unused or unworn items bought online which are returned to us within 14 days of you receiving them. Tags must not be removed and the items must be in the condition you received them in.

If your return is at all complicated please email us at shop@designsbyseed.co.uk first including as many details as possible but especially your order number as well as a picture if there is something wrong with one of the products.
All products must be returned in their original packaging with all enclosed documentation and the packaging cannot be broken or in any other way damaged – neither can the product. Otherwise it will not be possible to obtain a refund.

You must pay for the postage to return the goods and this must also be arranged by yourself. The goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse. Please ensure you pack the return safely to prevent any damage to the products or boxes. All returns should be posted back to us with a postage method that has tracking. We also recommend you insure your parcel in case it gets lost or damaged in transit.

We will process your return within 7 days of receiving it and you will receive an automated email letting you know. We will refund the value of the purchased the product, but not the original postage. The more information we have, the faster we can process your return.

Please check your spam folders and wait the full 7 working days before contacting us if you haven’t heard anything.

We are not responsible for any packages which do not make it back to us & will not process the return until we receive it.

 

Standard, Heavy/Large Parcels Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt to qualify for a refund or exhange. You will be issued with a credit note for any items returned after this time. Please ensure all items are packaged securely and sufficiently to withstand delivery. Failure to do so may result in Seed being unable to refund you. We recommend that you use insured registered delivery and keep the receipt. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit. Unless the item is faulty, it is returned at your own cost. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please take care to fully inspect your items to ensure you are happy with them before disposing of packaging as failure to do so may result in us being unable to refund you.

 

Furniture Cancellation & Returns Policy for Web & Telephone orders

Please note if you purchase furniture from Seed through the website or by telephone you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.  When an item of furniture is delivered to you, it is your responsibility, to check the goods for any fault or damages. You will be required to sign a confirmation that the goods have been delivered in a satisfactory condition. Delivery time is within 2-4 weeks and we reserve the right to amend delivery costs dependent on market rates.

Your furniture order maybe cancelled within 14 days of receiving the goods. You must ensure the furniture is returned to us in a perfect saleable condition and in its original packaging. Failure to do so may result in Seed being unable to refund you.

 

In-Store Purchases

At Seed we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us so we've made our returns policy simple. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, return it to the store in its original condition and accompanied by a till recepit within 14 days for an exchange or credit note.  Goods without a receipt cannot be returned.  Please take care to fully inspect your items to ensure you are happy with them before disposing of packaging as failure to do so may result in us being unable to refund you.  

*Please note: items excluded from this policy are custom made items; limited edition items; special orders; hair accessories; pierced earrings, Christmas decorations; toiletries; fragrance (including home fragrance).  Items reduced to 50% or below original retails price cannot be returned.

 

Fragrance Deliveries

We only deliver fragrances to the following countries in the EU: 

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal,Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Wales. 

Please note we do not deliver fragrance outside the EU.
