Looking after your glassware

You have just bought some gorgeous new glasses and can't wait to use them but at the same time you are afraid to damage them, so only get them out for special occasions...?

We hear you.

Every day should be a special occasion and not knowing how to care for your glasses should not be the reason standing between you and the enjoyment of your sparkly beauties.

Here are our top tips:

Cleaning:

Although most glasses nowadays are dishwasher safe, we would still recommend washing them carefully in your dishwasher. Try washing them on their own, or at least in their own drawer to avoid crashing and use only a small amount of detergent. Open the door as soon as the cycle is over to let the steam out and avoid any cloudiness.

If you prefer hand-washing your glasses, then only do so gently with the tiniest drop of washing up liquid (if at all) and hot water. In case they have stubborn staining on the bottom just fill with hot water and baking soda and let them sit for a couple of hours. Then rinse thoroughly and dry them upside down.

Storing:

When storing your glasses make sure you leave plenty of space around them so they don't knock into each other. We also recommend standing them upright rather than upside down or the rim could chip.

Recycled Glass:

Recycled glass has different needs to new one. Due to its production technique, sodium can cause a slight tarnish on the glass. This is a natural and food safe process and can be wiped away with a damp cloth to give its beautiful shine back!

Now that you are confident with the aftercare of your glassware, the only thing left to do is to open that bottle...!
