The chill to the air has arrived perfectly for half term.
This week or two comes as a welcomed break for the kids and for us grown ups too. It's so needed to take time off from the early raising, the chore of lunchbox making, the whole madness of school run, and enjoy a little more lying-in during these dark autumn mornings.
Once the kids are up though, there is usually no stopping, unless you are blessed with a teenager who doesn't leave their room, unless you have (good) snacks.
So it's time to put on your wellies for a visit to the local pumpkin patch, have an adventure through forests and fields, or to go to town and rummage through charity shops to create the perfect Halloween costume.
One of our favourite annual local event is the Scarecrow Trail in the village of Beckington, ideal for a walk and catch up with friends and kids, followed by lunch at Mes Amis.
Keep warm by wrapping up in this super cosy jumper, whilst the kids are running around...
We have a rainbow of delights to keep your little ones occupied in case the weather turns, or you just need a quiet afternoon at home...
.
After a morning of busy activities is nice to settle down with a slice of pumpkin bread and a cup of hot chocolate in your favourite mug. Cuddled up on the sofa by the fire with a movie to watch is the perfect way to spend the afternoon.
Whatever you will end up doing in the half term, we hope you will have a nice break and manage to enjoy the season's offerings.
