"Clay can be dirt in the wrong hands but clay can be art in the right hands"
We have a wonderful selection of ceramics, from functional to decorative, all beautiful objects of desire created by immensely talented craftsmen.
Let us introduce them to you.
Illyria Pottery
Illyria Pottery is run by the lovely and talented Katie Coston. Originally from South Carolina, she now lives and creates in Oxfordshire. Katie has been inspired by natural objects and their texture since a little girl and loves making beautiful objects that can be used as well as adored in the everyday life.
Aeyglom Ceramics
Beautiful handfinished porcelain tablewear by Aey Aspdin inspired by her Thai heritage and her time spent in Italy. Gorgeous colours and minimalist designs dreamed up and made in West Sussex.
Ali Tomlin Ceramics
Surrey based Ali Tomlin also uses porcelain as her preferred medium. She loves the fluidity of it when wet, the fragility of its appearance, but it's surprising strength when finished. Most of her pieces have an unglazed but smooth, sanded surface with some being glazed inside somewhat like a shell.
Jillian Riley Designs
Jillian Riley loves mythology and all things a bit dark. Her porcelain vases are inspired by old apothecary bottles that could hold either medicine or poison...
Lucy Burley Ceramics
Lucy Burley's ceramic vessels are thrown on the wheel using white earthenware clay, and then glazed with a smooth semi-matt earthenware glaze of her own formulation to give an eggshell texture in a wide palette of colours. Inspired by the still life paintings of Morandi and by the colours of the sky, the seashore, precious stones, plants and trees.
Leach Pottery
Founded in 1920 in St Ives, Leach Pottery, one of the most influential in the world, continues to produce timeless beauties that are both functional and decorative. Each piece is hand thrown on a potters wheel, making them unique and individual.
Ella Fletcher Studio
Ella is creating hand made, wheel thrown pottery in her studio in Pathhead, Scotland. She loves colour and is inspired by the natural world and the landscapes around her. Ella cares deeply about sustainability, her cheerful pieces are made from locally sources stoneware and all other materials are sourced from within the UK.
