Miriam predominately works with either oil paints or graphite. Her paintings all start as simple sketches made from observation, with a focus on capturing and portraying an atmosphere.

She then develops various studies before starting on what she hope's to be finished pieces. Working this way allows her to really explore a subject that often go on to become a series.

By removing references to humans and animals, Miriam's focus is the light and the interaction between the sky and the land or sea.

Miriam is an RWA Artist Network member, a member of Bath Society of Artists and a member of Somerset Art Works, she frequently shows her work in groups and selected exhibitions and has participated in open studios.
